The whole job is one habit: enhance it, photograph it, caption it, post it — as you go. This page shows you exactly what that looks like, with real posts from our team channel. Read it once and you'll already be ahead of most applicants.
Slack is a workplace messaging app — think group texting, organized into rooms called channels. You already agreed to this step in your application; here's the flow.
A temporary, private channel just for candidates. Your at-home challenge lives here: enhance one room at home, posting a photo + short caption per fix as you go, then a half-verify pass. Nobody but Mike sees it while you find your rhythm.
You switch to the real team channel — the one below. Everyone on the team sees those posts during a live turnover: what got fixed, what got corrected, what got said. It's the house's shared memory.
Every post is the same shape: a photo of the thing, plus a short, specific caption. Not "cleaned the bathroom" — what you fixed, in a few words. These are real posts from real stays:
Every post gets read. Mike and your teammates reply in the thread — tips, corrections, "nice catch" — right under the photo. Over months, that thread becomes a searchable playbook of the house:
When you think the room is done, walk it one more time — fresh eyes, guest's path, entry to exit. Whatever you catch, fix and post it too. That second look is the difference between "cleaned" and guest-ready, and it's the exact muscle this role uses every single shift.
Your at-home challenge is the same habit, scaled to one room:
Any room. Look at it the way a paying guest would.
Fix, clean, stage — roll up your sleeves like the guest arrives tomorrow.
One post per fix, short specific caption, posted before you leave the "room."
Re-walk it once. Catch what's left, fix and post that too. Then you're done — and we'll set your paid onsite day.
Already applied? Your Slack invite will arrive by email — post your challenge in #enhancer-skills-check.
